Loveable old Pete Carroll teaches tackling in camp every year and drills it periodically through the season. He seems to think that tackling the ball carrier is the quintessential element of defensive football. 
Can you imagine that!
But Pete's teams, for as long as I can remember, tackle well.
He even has a video on the Hawk tackle which is used by coaches at all levels. You might enjoy Googling it up and giving it a look. It's good.
