This is the question. I don't think Richardson will ever win from the pocket. So I don't think he'll be long for the NFL. And I wouldn't want a QB like him for that reason.
You need to win from the pocket. Throwing the ball is faster than any QB scramble will ever be. This is why there are QBs who are great for highlight reels, and then there are QBs who are threats to win it all. Sometimes they intersect, and you get Mahomes or Elway. And that's great. But the priority has to be can he win from the pocket. For me at least.
Win from the pocket with the way the Rams draft offensive linemen and the F them picks mentality? The Rams need a QB who is mobile and has a strong arm to keep the defense honest. The NFL has changed with good offensive linemen are hard to find and keep healthy.
