Key is of course not giving up too much for him. But I think he might be undervalued for two reasons, those being RB in general being undervalued as well as missing games in 2022.
If we look back to 2021 using the NGS data however...
He had 50 runs of more than ten yards.
He was the top RB in yards over expected.
This is a back who gets the most from his opportunities. Yes the mileage is high. Yes the Colts came out the gate asking for too much for him. But if the price ends up being manageable this is a guy who makes the most of his blocking and who has good enough hands to stay on the field.
Now everyone is going to tell me Williams is the guy. And I love Williams. But Williams would be the change of pace for Taylor. Taylor is that good. He's not as fast as McCaffrey and his hands aren't as good, but he's a bellcow type back who slots right in and knows the WCO gobbledeegook.
