I thought it might be interesting to tie our Second Seahawk matchup with my live observations in Seattle back on Sept 10th.
First off, Stafford was wholly healed from his elbow/concussions/spinal contusion in the season-opener. Seahawks had zero sacks & only 2 QB Hits on MS that glorious Sunday. Moreover, when you give Sean McVay 6 months to come up with a gameplan, it usually is a doozy.....in at Lumen Field that day we rushed 40 (FORTY!) TIMES, and passed 38 times = Balanced attack that resulted in 334 yds passing and 92 yds rushing for Los Ramos. Hey Sean....where did that kind of gameplanning go huh? Hey, and don't say "well, we lost Akers" okay!!! Because Akers rushed for 29 carries on 22 carries vs Seattle that day for a 1.3 ypc average.
Today offensively, our Rams line-up with a banged-up Matthew Stafford (hip, wrist/thumb) and who knows what kind of gameplan from McVay. One would hope we rush alot to keep pressure off of Stafford. If Seattle defenders just pin their ears back against our so-so OLine, and smack MS around like a pinata.....it's gonna be a long day for Ramsnation.
Seattle in the opener rushed for 11, 13, and 16 yards on runs wide towards the sidelines...as our ERs had problems setting the edge.
I was afraid Pete Carroll & Waldron were gonna exploit that all day long last September, but inexplicably they put the game in Geno StillHungover Smith's hands to win........and Geno stunk is up, shat the bed with only 112 yds passing and only 92 net when you took away the Ram sacks yards lost. To say that Geno Smith was slightly off in his passing last Sept 10th, is akin to saying that WWII was a just slight disagreement between a few nations.
I could be wrong, but I am guessing that Seattle will try to run on us early and often.
LET'S GO RAMS. REGAIN THAT SEPT. 10TH "30TH WORST NFL ROSTER" CHIP-ON-THE-SHOULDER & KICK SOME SHEHAWK ARSES!!!
