It's not that the Rams care if you or I don't know who the RG is. They don't want Seattle to know.
I can't speak to how much difference that makes, but even if they are equal talent wise there are undoubtedly differences in how they play. Does one of them handle a bull rush better? Is one of them more effective getting to the second level? Is one less effective at picking up stunts? All of that and more affects how Seattle game plans. Why not make it as hard on them as possible, even if it's only a little bit harder?
As far as the Ram already ruling Kupp out: teams are required to file accurate injury reports and can be fined if they are found to be out of compliance on that. Here's an article reporting that the Steelers were fined $75K and their coach fined an additional $25K for injury report violations. [

And while teams have to publish a depth chart each week there is apparently no consequence for playing games with that.
I just don't see any "competitive advantage" for the Hags if they know who our RG is. If there is any advantage at all is very much minimal.
I seriously doubt the Hags are worried about how to handle Noteboom, Anchrum or Dotson. I just don't see it.
There just isn't much difference there between them IMO. They could game plan for any one of them an hour before game time if they wanted to. lol Ok, maybe not an hour. 2 hours max!
I agree on the Kupp thing AlbaNY. That makes sense.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
