11 personnel has historically made McVay's offenses click. But a natural shift to more balance with 12 personnel is prudent, in my opinion, regardless of Kupp's issues. Not an even split or anything. But more balance overall.
I've always felt that 12 personnel gives you more options and unknowns for the defense to have to guess about- especially if you have at least one TE, for example, that can flex out into the slot. Key pass? Run?
The Rams need to protect Stafford, run the ball more effectively, increase TOP, etc. and running more 12 personnel would seem to help with all that. I would love to see plenty of Higbee and Davis Allen on the field together this Sunday.
