He is great because he works so hard. I think is prone to injuries BECAUSE he works so hard. I hear he is always first to the Gym and last to leave and often there when nobody else is. He might want to start giving those tendons n such a tad more rest.
AD and others are the "first in/last out" at the gym guys and they don't seem to have an issue. If Kupp has a history of injuries like he does, I am thinking it must be something else.
We do have some Doctors on board here who maybe could shed some insight that would help more?
Some people are just "always" dinged up. Usually nothing serious but sometimes enough to keep them from doing their jobs. I think Kupp is one of those guys.
The question is how do you "use" those players to avoid, if possible, the recurring injuries we see? Or at least keep them to a minimum?
Should they be on a different work load than others?
Do you have to be more careful?
Give them different/more frequent sessions with the strength and conditioning coaches?
I am not sure there is an answer and we might just have to hold our breath it doesn't diminish his quality of play for an extended period of time.
Isaac Bruce missed around 15 games over two consecutive seasons in '97-'98 due to his Hammy problems. We don't want to have Kupp's linger into 2024 when we expect to be competitive again!
