Looking back at the 2022 draft the best players drafted after Bruss was Damian Pierce and then Decobie Durant. True it was a third round pick but it was a couple picks from the fourth.
I think the problem is that Brian Hill jumping in the pool irritated us vmbut this is far from Humphrey Atwell draft logic issues.
I hope Bruss is on the practice squad. But even if not I would have been more pissed if we cut Zachary Thonas or Anchrum or McClendon.
This isn't a pass for Snead, but this team ls survival is based on getting players who they feel can grow.
If they have a chance to improve I hope they take it and make waiver claims.
Gipson the edge from Chicago, Duggan as a QB 3. Some young leg that has potential to kick.
To tell you the truth keeping Demarcus Robinson or Brian Allen seems unnecessary. They also have a spot when Mathis goes on the IR.
Last year when we picked up Zacharey Thomas or Larrell Murchison or Zach Van Valkenburg I saw how we mined for talent.
This draft I think I understand Jourdans point where we draf t Ed for need the last couple of years and failed. This year we drafted the best players available who fit our team. Each player seems to have fit a niche (although Hampton and the injured Mathis seem a little raw).
I am hugely disappointed our scouts didn't find more than one UDFA including a kicker to make the team. Between Bruss and the UDFAs maybe the front office can idenrify the weaknesses in our scouting and evaluation process.
