He could make this SORE LOSER laugh after a loss. The 45 to 3 blowout in Tennessse in 1990 and the Choke At Doak (FSU) come to mind. My ALL TIME fav was the 1990 loss at Tennessee.....We were in our favorite Sports Bar. The game was only 7 to 3 at the half but got REAL ugly, REEEAL quick in the second. My Brother and I rode it out till it was us and about 15 LOUD N OBNOXIOUS Vols fans. MANY showed up AFTER the game was in hand. When the game was over, it was just Juke Box music in the Bar and celebrating Vols fans....... AND THEN.....Frankie Valli's "Walk Like A Man" is played. By then, we were toasty. When the chorus of the song is "eeeeew WE eeew We ewww oooooohhh hoooo", my Brother started singing that LOUDLY! Enough to make the Vols fans go from laughing to cringing. SO....I started!!! LOLOL When the song was over, we kept on with ........EEEEEW WE EEEW WEEEEEE OOOOH HOOO and did not let up....Till we were the last ones at the Bar!!!!!! I remember us looking at each other and at the same time saying....IT WORKED!! Followed with a high five and laughs.
I cannot hear Frankie Valli and NOT think of that night. THIRTY THREE years ago???? NO WAY!!!
