For the record I am not remotely concerned with backup QB this year simply because if we lose Stafford we might as well lose a ton of games and get a higher draft spot to have a chance at our QB of the future. I mean is it a good thing to win one or two more games by bringing in a backup with a little more experience?
I think this lies at the heart of the Rams' offseason strategy. Stafford or bust. Then if it's bust it's really bust and we can maneuver from there to get a young QB from that higher draft spot. Upgrading the backup job seems to not help that equation.
But maybe I'm way off on what they are thinking. Not like I'm confident I'm right on that or anything just how I see things.
