The Deacon never walked over to a player he clocked unless to help him up. Neither did Olsen or Grier. They simply didn't believe in "gloating".

Dennis Harrah, Tom Mack, and Rich Saul -they flattened plenty of D lineman but never gloated by standing over them. This is not a put down of Avila but more a concern of the societal norms of today. Yesterday we enjoyed the successes of our accomplishments. Today we enjoy the defeats of our opposition And YES-there is a difference.

If you don't see the difference then return to the bar and have another beer on me.
