if you asked me back in the days when the preseason was 4 games long after the 3rd week i would've said yes, absolutely.

i think the nlf has preseason just right at 3 games with an additional game in the regular season. i just wish sunday ticket enabled me to watch the rams when they are not on nfl network.

but i think you're higher point is "are you ready for some football, some regular season/sunday night football" ~ yes, but i can wait the 2 weeks.
