Looks to me it gives some added time for the newly added WR's in FA if anything. How is that a bad thing? He has had issues in the past with an injury here an injury there.....what's the harm in the day off? Maybe some want to whip him into shape during this camp, but I want him to be able to play at least 17 games this season, a day off here or there may be of benefit in the long game.
I like John, he seems to be a team oriented guy, he makes some very good plays. Whether some hate to admit it or just don't see it, IMO he is a legit deep threat....I see no down side to him having a vet day off.
