I have been part of this board for over 25 years I think. Well the old rendition before it into this etc.
The last year has been the least I have used it I think. I am not sure if it is having such an amazing beat writer in JR of the athletic, the uptick in podcasts, and other info or the fact that the board is mostly posted articles and very little fresh posts that start good discussions. Maybe with camp reports hopefully coming soon we can get some new life. But I really love this board and it was my lifeblood during the St Louis exodus days, so I would hate to see it waste away.
Not sure if I would be worried about this board "wasting away" as I think it might be more popular now than ever and I absolutely would not say the board is "dead" because of that.
As for all the articles, I have been here a very long time too and there always has been articles posted here. Most of the articles were posted by our great Rams brother RamBill!
I always got most of my info here instead of having to go to multiple sites to read the same stuff. It's 100% a time saver and there articles posted here that I would not have found on my own.
Personally, I am very grateful to RamBill, Berendson, Rams43 and the others who post the articles! It takes time to do that. These guys take their own personal time away from their families to post these articles that they hope their fellow Ramily will enjoy. Is there anything more valuable than someone's time?
It's a classy and selfless thing to do and I appreciate them all.
As for the "discussions" being generated, I have to disagree there too. IMO, there are plenty of good discussions that go own here every day.
I LOVE the diversity of this board. IMO, it's the best on the internet. We have it all here.
We might have the BEST all-in-one place to come for getting the latest Rams news. It's literally posted within minutes of hitting the web!
We have our own Draft experts who are better than some of the PAID "experts".
We have our own CAP guru who can explain the most detailed CAP situations in a way anyone can understand.
We have some of the funniest posters here too to add in some humor which is always needed.
We have some of the BEST discussions here IMO. A little bit of everything is discussed. Of course, It's impossible for everyone to agree on something but the discussions are always civil and respectful for the most part. I have learned so much here about football and life due to all the discussions here.
We can joke with each other and still remain respectful at the same time.
We have some of the most caring posters on the net too. When another poster is having health or family issues, you can feel the legit caring and emotion from everyone here. We are truly a Ramily here.
Things are a little slow due to the offseason and bad record from last year so it's not quite as busy as normal IMO but I expect that to change very soon! lol
Anyway, IMO, this board is more active than most other Rams boards. Everything you need is here. I couldn't be happier to be a member!
Of course all of this is just MY opinion.
Thanks to all who post the articles, made me laugh, feel sad, agree and disagree with me and taught me things I didn't know!
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
