Joe Coniglio & Chris Shula

July 23, 2023 07:26AM
Joe Coniglio is new to the coaching staff coming from the Naval Academy & Sean McVay's roommate in college. Shula moves back to coaching the linebackers, something he has done since being part of McVay's original coaching staff back in 2017. Coniglio gives the unit a jolt of energy plus with the youth at the OLB should be interesting to she how they develop moving forward. Shula should provide the steady hand as Jones, Rozebloom & Hummel do have experience as ILB's, with some added UDFA's with the likes of Anyalebechi, Square, Woodley & Smenda rounding out the group.

Key for the Rams is the health of Ernest Jones at ILB, without him, there is not much although Hummel was targeted as a priority as an UDRFA back in 2022. Overall, both units will need to grow plus the OLB's group needs to provide pressure to cover for a secondary that will have to grow over the season too.
