Who exactly was supposed to fight to keep the name? The team, and the name belonged to Bud Adams. No City is going to litigate to keep a sports name, and he chose to rebrand the team.

I'm with your intent. The Oilers were a great team with a lot of history, and it's sad to not see it represented.

They will wear them once or twice this year---the Titans that is
