If:
A) Cowherd's sources are correct; and,
B ) the re-worked contract called for lower compensation...
If I were Stafford, I would've refused as well.
My argument would've been:
A) No one forced you to give me an extension with a full year remaining on my current deal; and,
B ) Why would I take a penny less when you haven't demonstrated an ability to stand-up a healthy offensive line that can pass protect or run block? Let's see if I survive this season without a spinal cord injury before talking pay cut!
