Bryant really was a steadying influence in 1980. Helped fill the gap from Tyler being out. 2,799 rushing yards as a team that year, amazing.

And Tyler really was the one lone bright spot on an otherwise awful 1981 offense.

Bettis really was something those final 12 games of 1993. I was at the week 2 game vs. PIT where he scored his first TD in the endzone right in front of me.

I would have put Dickerson's 1984 as #1 but it's splitting hairs. Needs more context. Not only was he coming off his rookie year with 1,800+ yards on 390 carries (so everyone knew the offense went through him), but the passing game threat of Ferragamo went down early in '84 and they literally only threw the ball about 19-20 times per game after that. And yet he averaged a full YPC better in 1984 (5.6 vs. 4.6).
