Player Bio
Sims suited up for all 12 games off the bench as a freshman (8-72-9.0, one TD receiving) for the Falcons after earning Gwinnett County All-Star accolades at Norcross High School in Georgia. He did not have a reception in five games (one start) in 2020, but Sims became a big part of the team's offense in 2021, garnering first-team All-MAC platitudes with 41 receptions for 418 yards (10.2 per) and two scores in 11 games with nine starts. Sims was a second-team all-league selection in 2022 after catching 45 passes for 458 yards (10.2) and two touchdowns in 12 starts. -- by Chad Reuter

Overview
Sims is an undersized tight end who will give it a go as a blocker but is not strong enough or technically sound enough to handle in-line or lead-blocking duties. He’s a talented athlete who has the acceleration to uncover versus man coverage, the speed to threaten the over the top of linebackers and the talent to create after the catch. The lack of a clean positional fit limits his opportunities, but there is clearly talent to mold.

Strengths
Very athletic as an open-field player.
Might have three-level potential as pass-catcher.
Begins to pull away from coverage as route progresses.
Able to expand his catch radius when throw is off-target.
Speedy and elusive with the ball in his hands.
Very fluid moving toward his block targets in space.

Weaknesses
Lacks a true positional fit due to his size/style.
Not much pop into contact as a run blocker.
Blocking technique is in need of substantial work.
Pops upright when getting into break point underneath.
Has too many drops.

Good to see that Rams are finally fully focused on their TE room…

Hard to see a position for him unless he puts on weight
