Steve Preece excellent special teamer and holder too, nice TD against KC in the opener, however, Preece did struggle in coverage and was responsible along with CB Eddie McMillian for the Drew Pearson TD catch in the 73 playoff game, just after the Rams had made it 17-16 and it was 3rd & 12. In 74 Preece was replaced by Bill Simpson at Safety, Al Clark replaced McMillian at CB & James Harris replaced John Hadl at QB after a loss to Green Bay in Milwaukee.
