I recall your assessment that this draft was particularly deep with Safeties. Zierlein is suggesting the missed tackles are as simple as Taylor II having a tendency to get down in position to tackle too early, giving the runner a breakaway opportunity.
I am hoping the Rams added two starting (2024) Safeties and a Nickelback with the addition of Jason Taylor II, Quindell Johnson and Hodges-Tomlinson. All three of these players were projected as higher picks in a deep Safety draft.
If that is the case, that the Rams hit on those three then the backfield combined with last year's addition of Cobie Durant will have gone a long way to being rebuilt. It feels like a lot more speed on the back end.
If the Rams also hit on Byron Young and the Hoecht experiment pans out that 2024 Rams Defense with the addition from another draft and free agency could be interesting.
