So Gay is a reasonable bet as the guy we miss the most from the departures. He was Mr. Automatic during his time here. But maybe they hit on his replacement.

I think we will miss the physicality of the defenders who walked out the door. Floyd and Ramsey are both as physical as it gets for their respective positions. Plus we lost two 1T as well. Rams drafted DL but none of these guys they brought in feel like 1T to me. In fact they feel like 3T moreso in their strengths, where penetration will be the plan.

The fact they went that route feels intentional as if they expect to be in shootouts and have leads from their offense, which, I mean we'll see if it works the way they envision but I am a bit skeptical. I think a big 1T for early downs is a missing piece right now. Only having 2/3 corners isn't ideal either, but if they can get the rush working that's obviously the greater plan. So we'll see.
