I'm with Alyo. I'm not buying.
We know about the D.
What gets overlooked with these prognostications is the potential resurgence of an O that was down to fourth-string couch potatoes on an O line that was good enough, sans Whitworth, to win a Super Bowl the year before. That Super Bowl offense, less Whitworth and Beckham, but plus an improved running game, a bolstered O line, and some wideouts stepping up to compliment Kupp, will score some points in 2023.
Granted, the D will give up points - which makes for some exciing, nail-biting, competitive shootouts coming up, with Staford prevailing when we finish with the ball in his hands.
We may get a top 5 pick in the 2024 draft - but only if Trader Les sees somebody there he wants and trades up. Otherwise we finish middle of the pack, maybe better.
