All due respect to Peter King, but that’s nuts…

Rams have jettisoned some players and salaries, but they just finished a helluva draft and udfa explosion.

They’ve hired 11 new asst coaches, most of them upgrades ranging from slight to major upgrades. That’s huge, right there.

And all returning players are now reportedly healthy. Also huge.

Limited FA vets will be signed to patch any remaining cracks as needed.

Rams possess best QB in the division and best DL and WR in the league.

I see an upgrade as opening day starters at several positions over departed opening day starters of last year. Namely:

This years trio of RB’s over last years trio.
Shelton over Allen
Avila over Edwards
Hoecht over Hollins at edge.
Evans at P over Dixon

Rams were 5-12 last year with a crippled roster due to catastrophic injuries everywhere, some inferior asst coaching, and a distracted HC that made some irrational decisions at times. And they STILL finished with 6th worst record.

I see an 8-9 win team at the very least this year under McVay’s leadership. And frankly, I’m probably being too conservative.
