... and I think we know what that is. I don't know whether more time with the QB will cure it; it seemed to me that Stafford was doing his job, getting the ball to Van where he could make a play on it last year and during the ring run. I think Van and Stafford could play pre-season catch until hell freezes over and it wouldn't help Van improve where he needs it most. He has improved in every area except this since he's been in the league.

I want to see Van get more aggressive, competetive, possessive about that ball when it's in the air.

My sense is that what he doesn't bring is a personal issue. I think it's more about courage or attitude than skill set.

I want to see Van do this: Go get the damned ball!

There's going to be contact, but go get it anyway! Don't be afraid. Win the hand (and forearm, and elbow, and hip, and shoulder) battle. Go up for it, fight for it, come down with it.
