Burough was the player I had in mind with number 00.
He played from 1970 to 1981.
00 was discontinued in 1973 by NFL,
but Burrough was allowed to continue wearing that number.
Now the NFL has removed many limitations on numbers issued
to players and positions, so maybe the number 00 can make a comeback.
