Thanks Alyo that was great. I also really agree with your assessment of how did we not pick a CB, one of our biggest needs in draft where CB was was a pretty strong glass.
I would take issue on the Bennent eval however. The comments you had on Bennent that were dings could be said about Young and Stroud too. While Young and Stroud may have had a higher production level, probably whey they both went so high Bennent has great production and yes he did it with a lot of talent around him. I kind of think his story works against him as he seems like a fluke to even be a QB leading a D1 school more less to the National Championship. Because of the flukeyness and improvable story he real talents seem to be overlooked especially when you add that he is small for a QB.
What I like about him
Leader of men: Leader on a team with Great Talent
Has a really strong arm
Is very accurate
Not a burner but has nifty feet, can avoid the rush and even pick up some yards on the run
Has a lot of experience playing against the toughest competition
I would argue that after the top 2 QB's in the draft that he is the most pro ready to step in and play which to me makes him a decent 2nd string QB for this team. Picking a future starter at QB in the 4th round says the odds are against that thought but if he can be a good 2nd string QB for 4 years on a cheap contract that is Gold when you consider the cap.
