IF that is correct that's telling I think. The pick surprised me, shocked me actually. Not because of Bennett and his talent but rather the decision to take him at that position.
It seemed out of character to me (I was wrong).... I had come to believe McVay wanted, would settle for nothing less, than a battle tested experienced QB.... not necessarily an old one but definitely a QB that had seen NFL play.
So Bennett, again - "IF" I'm correct... is the first QB McVay can call his own from his NFL birth? That's rather fascinating IMHO... whole new experience for McVay and us who monitor McVay.
