These three are now connected, IMO. to the
stay put, trade down debate.
Assuming Rams could have gotten a trade partner--and that is a big "if"
and assuming all three will play center...Avila could play guard or center
Rams could have gotten Tippman at 43 and JMZ at 57
Had teams there or right before there be willing, again, an "if"
Rams would have had an extra high 4th for 42ish
Rams would have had an extra middle 3rd rounder for the 57th
That is using both the usual chart and the Rich Hill one---supposedly updated
they differ as to how high in each round the extra pick would be...but the rounds
basically the same...
So the question is
Avila?
Tippman plus a 4th?
John Michael Schmitz plus a 3rd?
In 2-3 years we will see if Avila is better than those two
by enough to stay at 36.
