In some cases, it becomes such a solid bet that the Rams might as well go ahead and assign him a number and give him a uniform. One that sticks in my mind is Justin Blackmon in 2012. I used to enjoy the mock draft season, but all I care about now is who the Rams actually get. I still enjoy watching the draft to see the dramas unfold, but even that aspect of the draft has waned in interest to me. For example, there was much ado about the Rams 2013 draft, when they traded up to get Tavon Austin and then traded back to get Alec Ogeltree. There was a big story about this maneuvering by the Rams in Sports Illustrated, but it turned out to be a dud.
