I don't get the fascination. I guess there's not much to write about until the draft, but still. I read something on Deadspin yesterday - the author did a search and found 38,500 mock drafts!
Articles about who the team might be targeting - great. Draft profiles - for sure. Draft boards - especially Deadpool's - the best. But mock drafts? Why? Why would I read something that is 100 per cent going to be wrong? The odds of accurately predicting even the first few rounds are probably ridiculously small. And a 7 rounder - what's the point? I'd love to see some metrics on what the hit rate is for the all the expert mocks. Maybe 10%? 20%? And some of these people do 2 or 3 or 4. What changed from mock #1 to mock #3? Nothing. that's the answer.
I look forward to after the draft when the super accurate, always right draft grades come out
