If someone on your list doesn't get drafted, I'd be absolutely shocked. This is as solid a top 3 round group as I've seen. Including mine.
Thank you ... I feel comfy that 1 gets drafted ...
Looking at your list, a draft starting with Cam Smith, Tillman and Hall looks like a great start.
That would be a dream come true.I have Adetomiwa Adebawore at 83, he must have just missed your top 79 as well?
Yep, just missed, I'll likely make a list of the "just missed" guys from each position. No DJ Turner? What bothers you about him if I many ask?
Honestly, I never saw him make a play, I didn't even have him listed on my team sheet. David Long was similar. So now I'm hesitant.Just 2 SAF in your top 79? Who is your 3,4,5? Out of curiosity, and where do they land? 4th round?
I have 16 Safeties in the 3-4 round grade area
Top 3 Are Battle, Skinner, and J Robinson ...I only have 3 RBs in my top 79 (Robinson, Gibbs and Charbs), you have 6. I feel like I devalue the position, when I shouldn't.
It's such a mixed position, opportunity and team fit is so huge. You're a TE guy, but no love for a massive, blocking TE like Washington? No QB pressures or sacks as a blocking TE this season, he's basically a 3rd OT. I like his pass catching upside.
I think I'm not as sold on the upside. He's violent as a blocker, but not as a pass catcher from what I've seen, he's finesse there. Comp to Megatron ... Megatron was bigger than everyone, and he played like it. You fight him for a ball you're likely to catch concussion symptoms from an elbow. He thrashes and wins with finesse until he brings the ball in and then outright violence. It's unfair to compare those two obviously, but one thing I have for my top TEs, is the willingness to stiff arm a tackler that's coming at them and drive them into the ground. All that said, he just missed. He's likely player 80 or 81.I knew you liked Hooker, but not this much. He is super interesting to me, I don't think he escapes the first round.
If he hadn't gotten hurt I think he 100% is Heisman, and 75% is #1 overall pick. I'm very high on him.Charbonnet Wow, my first real surprise here. Love authenticity, and this pick verifies that. I do worry about his HR speed.
I just have a lot of running film in my head from his freshman year at Michigan going the distance. Then he grew into a solid 7 yards per carry guy that can still break away. This is a weird case, as I researched ... normally the hand held at the combine is only .01 or .02 different. His were off by .06. HH 40 was 4.52 vs. 4.46 ... with his splits being an impressive 1.52 and 1.44 ... with that much change I split them. You get a basic 1.49 split. Given his 37 vert at 222 pounds ... that explains the explosion into tacklers.Fits of the 3 bigs ... Foskey, Uzomah and Tuipolotu ...
All I can say is that the LB drills generally expose guys that can't do it. I expect the first two to be decent and they were better than advertised, Tuipolotu was a surprise. If a guy (for me) backpedals like he's clenching his teeth he's not a fit. Whole body is tight. If he can't open on the turn or get lateral without losing balance or getting high he's not a fit. The fluidity was there. Main thing about these guys for me is violence.
Rcihardson/Levis I think I like Richardson's upside more than Levis. Richardson is accuracy and had some drop issues with his WRs, Levis has accuracy and no sense of touch, they are all fastballs...
For me it's leadership. Richardson has a ridiculous supporting cast and I never felt like they believed in him. They finished well, and that may have changed, but I didn't get the sense the team trusted him. Levis was the opposite ... they lost Coen to us, lost Wandale and some O line ... and he stayed and the team seemed energized.
Note ... a few years back I wasn't sure what to do with Hurts. I had him around the same range. I don't think he's Hurts. Hurts was a leader and was accurate. I didn't trust Hurt's processing speed. I should not have doubted him.Isaiah Moore We are way off on this guy, I think he was in my 7th to UDFA list, I must go back and take another look.
So ... one of the things about following a guy his entire career, is that I start to place him as soon as he shows me next level stuff. So when he was a sophomore I was raving about him ... then was stunned he didn't come out last year. He came into this year with a high grade from me and then he and Drake Thomas (who I also love) became the best tandem LBs in football. NCstate was a boring watch most games. But their defense was a shutdown defense. Then he ran a 4.65 with a 7.03 3 c one and 4.25 ss. That's what my memory tells me it's going to be. So I have to keep him here. I felt like I was taking more of a chance on Rodriguez last year because I only had one year of tape. I have 4 on Moore.Spears if he can add 10 lbs, he'd be a monster.
And I think he can. He was at Tulane. Both LBs are undersized and the OC we like Hainesworth is barely 300 lbs. It's hot and they likely lose a ton of water weight during practice. I don't think he loses any speed or lateral agility and plays around 212-214 when it's all said and done. His single season performance, capped with USC and then the senior bowl was one of the best by a RB I've ever seen.I hope the blue worked, lolOutstanding list. Will use this week.
Thank you much as always ...
