I've always liked Higbee

April 20, 2023 09:34AM
He should really be considered one of the best value picks of Snead's tenure. He's the most accomplished TE in team history. has averaged over 61 receptions over the past 4 years and catches more than 70% of his targets. He never lived up the breakout expectations people had when he caught 43 passes over those final 5 games of 2019. But he's been a consistently good player for them for 7 (going on 8) years now and that means something.

But with an expiring contract and turning 31 before the end of this coming season this very well could be it for him. All the more reason the Rams should be focused on adding TE talent in this draft class- not just as a TE2 for 2023 but as the likely TE1 for 2024+.
