Since everyone is thinking 2023 is a lost season do the Rams consider picking Tennessee QB Hendon Hooker, if he is available at pick #36. This gives him a year to learn under Stafford and should be ready to roll in 2024.
Do you think that Hooker with a 2nd in ‘23 is a better Ram QB value than a top 5-10 in ‘24, Ramstein?
On any conceivable level?
It is really tough to compare value between a 36 pick and on in the 5-10 range. I would expect that Hookers value will be greater in 2024 than it is during this draft. If things go terrible and we are in a position to pick on of the top 2 QB in next years draft we can still do that and most probably flip Hooker for an additional 1st rounder. Or if they really like Hooker after seeing him for a year they could just keep him. Either way I expect Stafford to be our QB in 2023 and 2024 and probably in 2025.
