We should set a higher bar than Sloman and Ficken. The kicker position probably won't be as important this year because I expect the Rams' scoring opportunities to be more limited compared to the past.

But how much do you want to bet we see Sloman and Ficken in camp this year? I can't remember any of the others we brought in for tryouts but they were all terrible.

We got lucky when Gay fell into our laps. Not sure we will be that lucky again. At least not without going through the same crap we went through before Gay.
