but it is based on the assumption that 3rd rounders are "fringe"

It depends on the class---from info I gather from guys here
this is a deep class, especially in certain areas
so a 3rd rounder this year might get you a 2nd round
value whereas a 3rd rounder in an average year gets
you 3rd round value.

If you can get 3rd round value in the 4th--then
traded back in the 2nd ten or so slots and getting
and extra 4th, in theory, gets you same value
as 36 . . . plus 3rd round value in the 4th.

Are those guys fringe?

Opinion, I guess.
