Couple notes ...

His 40 (4.62) is not an accurate depiction of his speed. Not just because he ran with a Hoodie on.

His burst #s are crazy. 39 vert and 10-6 broad if I remember correctly. That usually means a 1.5 split time.

Then a 6.60 3 cone and 4.21 SS.

That 3 cone would have been second best of all players at the combine beaten only by Smith-Njigba. The SS is top tier for a DB.

He's just under 6-4 and 239 lbs.

But? He played the 5 tech at Iowa state.
This means hand in the dirt in front of OGs and tackles ...

How'd he do?
Most sacks in big 12 history.

He wasn't slated to play there originally because he was too small. But after a few practices there the O line told the coaches that even though he was 215 (at the time) they couldn't block him.

Why all this matters...

He'll be an off ball in a 3-4, which will be a move for him. But going up against OTs won't. He already knows how to set an edge.
But the advantage will be using his 6.6 3 cone to take different angles in pass rush from a greater distance.

Bonus... he's got the most elegant and powerful spin move of any player coming out of college I've seen.

I can't see him making the second round, but he's the only player I'd draft at 36 besides Quentin Johnston.

That's the thing--played in a 3-4, not as LBer, but as DE
