Williams has a $12.6M salary for 2023 and that's the last year of his deal. I don't think the Rams can take on that much money in 2023 ...

... but it's quite easy to craft an extension that keeps Williams in the fold for a while while reducing his 2023 cap hit at the same time.

But there are big questions: Do the Bengals want to trade him? Do the Rams want to part with draft capital to acquire Williams? Do the Rams want to give Williams a long term deal?

Note: PFF says Williams gave up 12 sacks last year, tied for most in the league. [www.pff.com]
