I have to take issue with Cowherd on two of his assertions. Firstly, there is zero evidence McVay "leveraged" retirement to get more control. This is inconsistent with the level of respect McVay and Snead have shown throughout this tenure. While processes and priorities can be tweaked, isn't it most likely all they are doing this offseason, like all the others, is collectively determine personnel decisions? Hasn't he always had veto power on acquisitions? I don't have all the facts because I'm not privy to their conversations but....either does Colin or he would have referenced a source. "Give me control and a better offense or I walk?" Hey, Colin! I will bet my house against yours that never happened.
He also says he doesn't necessarily like his quarterback. What??!!?!! Colin, that's got to be the most irresponsible projection of your feelings over McVays because ALL EVIDENCE (words and contract) say EXACTLY the opposite.
The rest of his take had merit.
