He was hurt on 10/16. Let's estimate he had surgery a week later. That means he's only 4.5 months into his rehab. My guess would be he'll be pretty limited in OTAs and maybe ready for individual work in camp come late July (which would be the 9-month mark).

I would keep him around through late August to get a sense for what he can and can't do, how the rest of the OL depth looks, etc. If he's released then it would be much more significant 2023 savings ($8.5M). Or maybe he is kept around as a very expensive backup and then they cut ties cleanly next offseason ($11M savings).
