So you call up Rashaad Samples to ask what working with the Rams is like.
You get the following answer:
- The Coach keeps talking about retirement, so if you're lucky you might work there one year, If you're unlucky you get fired mid-season.
- Coach is moody, couldn't deal with losing, shut himself off from the team and everyone had to turn to the DC to keep it together
- They tried to trade the lead back you'll be hired to coach, but no other team wanted him. In what appears to have been a power play, he didn't respond until they fired his coach and his backup.
- They're on OC #4, and the guy they just hired scored 15 total points in the last 3 games he coordinated.
- The OL is a mess.
Or you could stay at a name brand university.
McVay's choices may have been narrowed down to a re-tread (Which he likes to avoid), or a guy with little to no credentials. I don't think there is anyone else left from the Gruden/Shanahan trees to hire.
