In all 3 scenarios the draft compensation to Rams is inadequate, imho. Hard pass. Could at best draft a top CB with the Patriot 1st at #14 and gain cap relief but with an unproven rookie. Not good enough. Where’s the big upside for Rams? Ramsey is 28 and in his prime at a premium position in today’s NFL under contract for 3 more years. Hell, we recently paid two 1sts and a 4th for this guy! Why offload such an elite player for less than a king’s ransom?
The other thing is that there is ZERO doubt in my mind that Belichick would be able to maximize Ramsay’s full skill set. Ramsey would be a monster in Belichick’s D. Sigh…
