Like say, in 2012 when the Rams literally needed bodies to fill the roster. When you're rebuilding, yes, stock up on day 3 picks.

But for a team like the Rams that need talent in particular areas and need talent that can contribute sooner than later, I think it's about maximizing how many picks they can get between 36 and 150ish overall.

If you have a talented roster half of your 6th and 7th round picks shouldn't make the team. Cutting late round draft picks is a sign of roster health in my opinion.So why have 10 6th and 7th round picks when half of them will be cut or or on the PS.
