DESERT RAM
Yes, please trade him, Cooper Kupp is ONLY receiver Rams will need in 2023's run to super bowl championship. We don't need no stinking wide receiovers McVay is going to surprise the NFL and RUN the ball 90% of the time in 2023.
COME ON GUYS...use your heads we already have enough needs and not enough high round pics to replace a quality receiver. I wouldn't take less than a second for Van Jefferson at this time without plan to replace him! We might get a 3rd or 4th round compensatory pic if he is signed by another team next year.He has been a productive wide receiver throughout his tenure with the rams. He is a solid #2 receiver adding speed and sure hands to our receiving core. He is weak on contested balls and runs after catch or after contact and in my view not a no. 1 type receiver. But you don't get rid of a productiver player without a replacement in sight. He is not a Robert Woods receiver but he is best we have after Cooper Kupp. Chances of finding an adequate receiver with 5th, 6th. 7th round pic or free agent are very small and getting rid of him for only a 5th round pic or higher would really hurt Rams for next year.

Great point. If Van leaves us next year we lock in a 3rd or 4th rnd comp pick for him.
So, if Carolina is enamored with the thought of acquiring him based on all the connections they have to him this year, we make them over pay to acquire him.
That means, at least a second round pick to do so.
It most likely would mean another hole in our roster as even a second round reciever probably is not going to play much in a Mcvay offense his first year.
If the Rams are still trying to capitalize on their Super Bowl window with Donald, Ramsey, Kupp and Stafford, they really should not subtract good players this season.
I'd wait for the comp pick next year if he moves on.
