And go from there. The pre-June 1st cap savings just aren't significant. Bring him back for OTAs and camp, see what he can or cannot do, what else they have in place around him and go from there.

Three things could happen. One, he's not healthy enough to compete or just isn't performing and they release him, saving $8M at that point. Two, he surprises everyone and reclaims the starting LT job. Great. Three, he's good enough to keep as (very expensive) depth at LT and LG.
