Can you imagine the lawsuits that would've happened due to how it could have affected some players careers after that. Holt would've been a 2 time SB Champ and would be in the HOF now just for one example.

It would have destroyed the NFL or at the very least, it would have gotten Goodell fired. They knew the damage it could've caused to the league. I guess they felt they had no other choice.
