What to glean from those two sentences? I think it means that McVay was sold on Wendell during his interview and wanted him badly. To the point he cancelled his scheduled interview with Benton.
Remind you of anything? It reminds me of Rams being blown away by McVay’s own interview to the point they canceled with Shanahan and hired McVay practically on the spot.
