Mobile quarterback who kills teams with his legs more than his arm. Running over opponents (268 against the giants). I didn't see a lot of great throws from Hurts yesterday. It's actually the first Eagles game that I watched. Has anyone seen if he can throw like an elite player? Do they push the ball down the field through the air?
I saw Hurts last year and was unimpressed. When I first saw him this year on MNF against the Vikings, it was like watching a completely different QB. He was amazingly decisive and precise. He was in total control. I've been watching football since the 60's and I have never seen a bigger improvement by a QB one year over another.
Games are easy to retrieve these days. Watch for yourself. I really won't need to comment further if you do. He is a consistent force that makes defenses act out of character because attacking him is dangerous when you don't get home but laying back will get you run over. And once you figured out how to keep the running game contained, Hurts throws darts over their heads to receivers that specialize in being downfield threats. Oh, and Siriani draws up punishing gameplans with no fear of failing on fourth down.
I'm not an Eagle fan but I sure appreciate good football, especially when it's built on an intentionally dominant offensive line. Those 70's and 80's (very early 90's) Rams O Lines are to this day my favorite sport heroes.
