I think he is a really great HC candidate.
I believe if McVay can be a genious with out a run game or commitment to it
Morris can be a defensive savant and complete coach because of his background on both sides of the ball and his excellent communication and leadership. He worked with what he had. He worked around what he had and what they knew before he was hired.
he showed if they invested in talent what he could do and we won a SB nursing 3 points with our Defense on the field.
Morris with good organization support can be a HC for a while and likely not be a burnout candidate with in 6 years. He gets it.
He has learned from McVay and he has held McVay up when he needed it the most. Morris is loved and I think he will be great with a real chance.
BTW this is not a post of whether he would be better than McVay, I think McVays success speaks for itself.
I am just saying Morris is a coach I have admired even going back to his days in Tampa and they had crap to work with. I think I would love to see an organization as strong as the Rams appear to be give this Coach a fighting chance. I wish him well and would not be unhappy for him to remain with the Rams. I would be sad for him because I know the options get smaller quick. Just think if Staley derved the SD Job now or when he was originally hired, Morris certainly out shines Staley
