A lot to unpack there, SoCal.
Several things.
We fans are guessing on the respective medical questions, but we can be sure that Rams are all over all of it and will make offseason decisions accordingly.
Questions on Boom’s durability are legit. Whatever Rams decide there will reflect their thinking. We fans are gonna just have to stay tuned.
I’ve read that Jackson’s blood clot issue is treatable with meds so i’m not too concerned about him. He will likely be our starter at either LOT or LG this year.
Allen has got to be replaced as starting OC. Period. His inability to stay healthy alone is a deal breaker. Trade or release, I don’t care. But Rams MUST upgrade there. Is Shelton enough of an upgrade? I dunno. Depends on how badly Rams want a strong interior OL. Drafting a stud OC with a premium pick makes a ton of sense for the future to me.
RG looks like a camp battle among Anchrum, Bruss, and Brewer, among others.
My best guess is that Rams might sign one FA and draft one OL with a Day 2 pick. Everyone is expected to return healthy but it’s never a bad idea to keep that OL pipeline full.
Here’s my crystal ball SWAG at this time:
Boom, Jackson, FA, or draft pick (early)
Jackson, FA, or draft pick (early)
Shelton, FA, or draft pick (early)
Anchrum, Bruss, Brewer
Hav, Arcuri
Obviously, in all scenarios I see a Day 2 pick for LOT or interior OL.
